See there on your left? Notice the 'Podcasts' link sitting amongst the others?
With new readership on the climb a bit as of late I wanted to stick all the podcasts in one place, as I'm quite sure most people haven't heard a single one of them. Unless you were one of my Facebook friends who just happened to be online when the notification of their original postings went up, you might not even have known they existed.
Well they do, with all their warts. I hope you enjoy them.
A Love Song for Love Songs - The Podumentary
What's this you ask? A documentary?
Not really, rather, a podumentary. That means I took the audio from one of my podcasts, and turned it into a little short film. It was quite a bit of work, so if you enjoy it, please share it with your friends on Facebook or Twitter.
The title betrays how I feel about music, something that profoundly serves to both express and fuel human creativity. The message of this piece is an attempt to celebrate music from a scientifically informed position, as well as portray the beauty that we humans bring into the Universe.
Why does music rock so hard? What about it makes it endlessly interesting, utterly soul nourishing, and so thoroughly distracting from the work I'm supposed to be doing?
Come on in and enjoy a 'podumentary' you can dance to! We'll look at the value music has, where it came from, and why we should never stop wigglin' our butts.

Google Calls Me a Failure. Now You Can Too!
In having a look at my most recent statistics on Google Analytics, I thought it was time to come clean. I've always tried to be (some would say embarrassingly) honest on this site, so I might as well take that approach to it's natural conclusion. Time to go right at the heart of the matter and admit how this blog is really doing.
Imagine you, the few regular readers of this rag, are the stockholders in a company, and I'll represent the CEO. As caretaker of an enterprise you're invested in*, I'm required to divulge any pertinent information regarding the potential success or failure of that enterprise. Well here's where I do just that, and Google Analytics is how I know what to tell you.

In the newest podcast we examine such issues together, while taking a brief trip down the knee-slapping road of particle physics. Don't worry, we won't dwell on such dry matters, because you're right in feeling that they're not worth the time. But we'll hope that our approach to String Theory can inform the way we answer the biggest questions of all.
