Help Me to See the Stars, and Not Look Dumb in the Process

I'm about to become the stupidest man ever to look through a giant telescope. Care to help?

As many of you may have already heard, 'Vision', my submission to the Save the James Webb Space Telescope video contest, was voted as the contest's winner. After all the hard work by the numerous people who helped me with the project(Seb Breton, Bob Mills, Jeff Thistle, and Greg Enright) and those who helped spread the word about it (Jason Major, Callum Sutherland, and all the folks from SaveJWST) it's very rewarding to see people respond to the piece. More on the James Webb

Jw
The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) would, if launched, become one of the planet's premier scientific instruments. Capable of peering through the clouds of gas that obscure our early universe, the JWST could tell us a great deal of how the cosmos came to be. Currently, all that potential discovery is in jeopardy, as American congress considers cancellation of the program. More on all of this here.

Although, as of midnight last night, the petition to save the JWST is closed, there's still lots of work to be done. Congress people need to be contacted, and public consciousness of the problem needs to be raised. Please do your part to spread the message if you're able. Active and lively discussions on the matter can be found on the SaveJWST Facebook page, so head over, 'Like' it, and stay informed!

In a recent chat with Callum Sutherland of Milky Way Musings, he told me about the Save the James Webb Space Telescope video contest. Callum had released a short sample of his submission, at the time still in production, and suggested I put one together as well. The contest seeks to raise awareness of the impending cancellation of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) in the United States Congress, and the wealth of scientific opportunities that would be jettisoned along with it.
