Eyjafjallajökull is My Overlord - The Second Coming
Thanks again to Stephen Blacker for sending these my way... every good blog needs a researcher, so now after sending me two batches of these pics, I guess he's it!
I have this weird thing, ever since I saw the movie 'The Player', that I want to go to Iceland. It looks like it would be naturally beautiful without the volcano, if maybe a little slow on Saturday night.
Airspace Rebooted
Keeeeeewl.
Watch all the fancy airplanes start flying again after the activity of Mr. Icelandic-Grumpy-Mountain-Pants.
"A visualisation of the northern European airspace returning to use after being closed due to volcanic ash. Due to varying ash density across Europe, the first flights can be seen in some areas on the 18th and by the 20th everywhere is open.
The flight data is courtesy of flightradar24.com and covers a large fraction of Europe. There are a few gaps (most noticeably France) and no coverage over the Atlantic, but the picture is still clear.
The map data is CC-by-SA openstreetmap.org and contributors.

Eyjafjallajökull is My Overlord... Do Not Question it's Power
