Skeptical Posters

Locklear

A while back I started thinking about all the great skeptical and/or science quotes that are out there, and wondered if there might be a good way to shine some light on them. The Skeptic's Guide to the Universe, my favourite podcast, ends each show with a skeptical quote, but I thought there might be an even better way to make those references sing. Eventually I thought, "Why not make some pretty visuals to go along with them?"

After all, we're visual creatures. We generally prefer movies over radio plays and internet porn over erotic books. I thought maybe something nice to look at might make people pause a moment longer to absorb some of the wisdom these great men and women had to share. By fashioning the quotes into poster sized images, (most of them are of sufficient resolution to be printed into an actual poster you could hang on your wall) hopefully these words will reach more ears.

I've done a few so far, with more to come in the future. Here's a collection of the posters to date, along with links to the original posts. Click through to see them in higher resolutions. In most cases there's also an accompanying write-up associated with each.

Keep Looking Up

A bit of a departure from the others, but as the write-up suggests, perhaps there's a skeptical message burried within.
